Antonios Kitsios is an honours graduate from the Department of English Language and Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a minor in English Literature and Culture & Translation and Cultural Studies.
He has worked as a linguist-translator (EL<>EN) in the research, translation, editing and proofreading of texts both as a freelancer and for institutions and organizations in Greece and abroad (TedX, OpenHouse Thessaloniki, University Studio Press, European Commission, Google, etc.) with an emphasis, in recent years, on gender-neutral and feminist translation.
He has also been employed as a teacher of English and a school curriculum director with responsibilities in school management and teaching creating individualized courses and projects related to gender justice through innovative educational methods [CLIL]. He has also been occupied with oral examinations for English language certifications assuming the role of the examiner/assessor.
He has attended numerous seminars, trainings, lectures, workshops and projects on gender and LGBTQ+ issues.

In the context of his work on gender issues, he has been the founder and coordinator of the AUThors student group with the aim of engaging the student/academic and local community on gender issues, producing research and disseminating scientific material in the Greek society creating islands of culture and mediation on the concepts of sexuality and gender.

He has also been a lecturer on disability and gender issues (Reflection of Disability in Art Festival - RODI) as well as on the history of gendered literature (Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival).
Finally, he was awarded the first prize for his essay in the European Union's COGE competition.
He has published several poetic works inspired by gender in magazines in Greece and abroad (i.e., Thraka, ERGON - Greek/American Arts and Letters, Poeticanet).
For the last two consecutive years, he has been working for Gender Alliance Initiative in the fields of social media and the communication of the organization's activities in terms of graphic/audiovisual design, translation and content creation.
